Callicoma Hill is nestled in the mountains 40 minutes north of Singleton. It is near Mt Royal National Park and the world heritage listed rainforests of the Barrington Wilderness.
Callicoma Hill eco-cabin is a self contained cabin with 3 bedrooms. It can sleep up to 10 people. It features environmentally sustainable design and technology, such as solar electricity and a wood fired stove for cooking and water heating. There is no TV to distract you from the abundant native wildlife and mountain views outside!

Callicoma BunkhouseCallicoma Bunkhouse provides simple, rustic self catered accommodation for groups up to 15 people. The bunkhouse can sleep up to 10 people and has 6 single bunks, with a double bed in a separate room. A wood fuel stove is provided for heating and simple cooking. Basic kitchen equipment is provided. The separate sleeping loft has mattresses on the floor and can accommodate up to 4 s or 6 children. Guests must bring their own bedding and linen for the bunkhouse and loft. A separate bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower is situated below the loft. An outdoor under-cover cooking and eating area with gas barbecue adjoins it. A wood barbecue and tables are nearby. Lighting is powered by solar electricity, while heating and cooking is from gas and firewood cut from the regrowth forests on the property. There is an organic garden and orchard and guests are welcome to sample the produce. Callicoma Bush CampingCallicoma Bush Camping is provided in conjunction with the Bunkhouse (see separate description). Unpowered bush camping sites are available near the bunkhouse. Campers need to provide their own tents. A toilet, hot shower and an undercover cooking area with barbecue and campfire is provided. There is plenty of space for games, and easy forest walks on the property can also be made. More walks and touring can be done in nearby Mt Royal National Park. Callicoma Hill Eco-cabinThe Eco-cabin has the following rooms: three bedrooms that can sleep up to nine people; separate bathroom; kitchen and lounge/dining area. The cabin is a showcase of environmental technology, running fully on solar power. A wood-fired stove is provided in the fully self-contained kitchen and there is also a wood stove in the lounge area for cosy winter evenings. | |
