Ferndale Cottage and Caravan Park
Ferndale Park is a 150 hectare grazing property on the banks of the Chichester River 24 kilometres north of Dungog. Bordering Barrington Tops National Park, Ferndale Park offers superb camping and caravan/campervan sites in a relaxed bush and riverside setting.
There are powered sites available with clean amenities including hot showers and flush toilets. An onsite van sleeping four and a self contained two bedroom cottage sleeping up to five people are also available.
Visitors to Ferndale can observe a great variety of native birdlife along the banks of the idyllic river pools; walk to nearby Chichester Dam or into rainforest areas of the National Park or simply laze on the river flats in glorious peacefulness. This is the perfect Australian countryside for camping!

Camp SiteWhen you arrive at Ferndale Park, you can choose your own camping site anywhere on the150 hectare property. There is plenty of area along the river and this is where the main camp sites are located. CottageFully self-contained two bedroom cottage with log fire. There is a double bed in one room and two singles in the other. A trundle bed is also available and this cottage accommodates up to five people. There is a gas or wood barbecue available. On-site CaravanWith weatherproof cover and verandah, this caravan is five and a half metres. It has one double and two single bunks. The interior is fitted with gas cook top, microwave and fridge while on the external deck the ever popular gas barbecue is at your disposal. Cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied. All you need to bring is your own linen and food supplies. Powered CampsitePowered Sites are situated short distance from the river where you can plug in and enjoy the surroundings. | |
