Shiraz, Semillon, Chardonnay, Merlot all made from grapes grown on 28 year old vines.
The Cellar Door was built in 1997 and awarded a 1999 Lower Hunter Civic Design Award for excellence in the design of smaller scale non-residential development.
The primary objective was for a building that blended well into the local environment, at the same time fulfilling the commercial imperative of being distinctive, memorable and easily identifiable as a retail outlet.
These diverse needs were satisfied by the use of grey Colourbond corrugated sheeting to harmonize with the surrounding gum trees, on a distinctly stylish building with sharply pitched roof and natural timber windows and doors.
The curved lintel above the double entry doors, natural brick paths and small outbuildings for storage and toilet facilities contribute to the "country" fee
