Host to the NSW State Surf Life Saving Championships in 2002 and 2003 Blacksmiths Beach is a beach for the whole family. Home to the championship winning Swansea Surf Life Saving Club, Blacksmiths Beach is popular for:

• Beach walking – Blacksmiths Beach is the southern end of Nine Mile Beach, a 16 kilometre beach that stretches from Blacksmiths north to Redhead
• The surf life saving club has a kiosk, amenities block, BBQ area and kid’s activity area
• The beach is fully patrolled
• Camping, caravan and cabin accommodation is available by the beach with the Blacksmiths Beach Holiday Park, a Council owned park which is 2 minutes walk to the water
• Located just off the Pacific Highway, Blacksmiths Beach is easy to get to and a world away from the busy traffic.
