Kiama Family History Centre
This unique family history centre is located at Kiama, in the heart of the
Illawarra 126km south of Sydney and is regarded as the premier family and social history research centre in Australia.
The centre housing its search room, exhibition area and auditorium
complements the valuable work being carried out by family history societies
and research groups every where.
It combines the feature of a resource centre for Australia & NZ (including
Irish convict transportation records and a comprehensive collection for U.K.
Europe and Canada) a genealogical research and advisory centre and an
educational centre with social history programs specially prepared for
schools. It holds a world-wide resource collection of over 650 million entries, including St Catherine's House Index 1837 - 1992.
Groups are catered for along with Devonshire teas, bookings essential.
Also available are function rooms and kitchen facilities.
