Historical Aircraft Restoration Society
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the life of Australia's aviation history. You will have the opportunity to view some of the most amazing historic aircraft. The HARS staff are always keen to share their passion for historical aircraft and are on hand to answer any questions. They are sure to provide you with an insight into the glory days when these aircraft ruled the skies.
On display at the hangar they have the world famous "Connie" Lockhead Super Constellation. The airliner of the 1950's that conquered the world. Get close up and personal with two Neptune Bombers. Have your photo taken with "Felix" who proudly represents the Black Cat Catalina Squadron of the RAAF. Venture aboard the flying troops carriers of World War 2, the C47 Dakota.
Photography is freely encouraged. A gift shop is located in the hangar to buy aviation souvenirs and memorabilia.
Bus and tour group visits are also available on most days of the week. Please ring John Martin on 0422 278 502 to arrange group visits.
HARS attends open days, airshows and other public events throughout the year. Please check out the calendar of events on their website. This is when the aircraft are at their best and an opportunity to see some of the aircraft flying.
