McCrossins Mill Museum

McCrossin's Mill is beautifully restored three story granite and brick flour mill. The ground floor and the gardens are available for functions, while the upper two floors house exhibitions focused on Uralla's local history - 'Thunderbolt the bushranger', 'the wool industry', 'gold mining' (including a replica Chinese joss house) and an aboriginal diorama.

Recent additions feature Corporal Cecil Stokes and the sportsmen 'sunny' Jim Mackay and Edward Tricket, who as the first Australian national ever to win a world championship. Check out McCrossins Mill for the answer as to which sport he participated in! A highlight of the museum is the thunderbolt paintings which are a set of nine paintings depicting the events leading to his death at the hands of Police Sergeant Walker.
