Pindari Dam
Pindari Dam is a boating haven nestled in the quiet hills of the northern tablelands. The Dam is particularly popular with power boat owners, as well as family groups for a peaceful time away from it all.
The prime purpose of the dam is for water storage for agricultural purposes with much of the water being used for the cotton industry. However, it’s also open for public recreation such as fishing and water sports. Boat ramps enable boat owner’s ease of access to the water. There are also camping, caravan (not suitable for large caravans) and picnic facilities available to the public.
The lake is made up of many quiet arms which offer excellent fishing, together with the three river systems in the area. The upper reaches of the lake provide picturesque gorges.
The recreation area provides amenities and picnic facilities. Limited camping areas are available free of charge.
