Ponderosa Park Picnic Area and Nundle Forest Drive
Ponderosa Park is set in a majestic pine forest. Signposted drive through Nundle State Forest. The drive begins at Woolomin, 35 kilometres SE of
Tamworth. The road has a predominantly gravel surface and the round trip is approximately 70 kilometres. At a leisurely pace and stopping at selected
spots on the way the round trip takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
Visitor facilities include: Picnic and barbecue areas (wood provided), toilets, walking trails and fossicking areas for sapphires and zircons.
