Melaleuca is a spacious, purpose built, owner operated backpacker’s hostel, located five minutes walk from the sparkling waters of One Mile Beach in Port Stephens.
We offer our guests a tranquil retreat in a bushland setting with accommodation ranging from cabins, dorm rooms, camping and Kombi van sites. In the summer months tent hire is also available. Linen is supplied on all beds and all rooms contain a fridge and fan.
Our magnificent main building houses double kitchens, with all crockery and cutlery, a lounge area with TV/DVD, tables and chairs and free barbecues are on the deck areas outside. The showers are free to use and have hot water and a laundry is available for guests.
Tomaree National Park surrounds the property and we have a large variety of native wildlife onsite including Koala's, Possums and Sugar Gliders.
We guarantee the cheapest rates possible on all tours and activities in the area.

CabinsOur cabins are architecturally designed western red cedar cabins, each with private veranda, tables and chairs. Bunk style accommodation - one double and three singles, in one room. Cabins are not self-contained. CampingCamping is in tranquil camp setting on six acres of natural bushland. Tents, kombis and camper trailers welcome. Tent hire available in the summer months. DormOur dorm is architecturally designed dorm building. Four rooms of six share (bunk style) accommodation. Each room has three sets of bunks with fridge/freezer and wall-mounted fan. Main BuildingArchitecturally designed main building centrally located on property with large decked areas for relaxed indoor/outdoor dining. Kitchen facilities include hotplates and microwave, toasters, kettles, barbecue, cutlery, crockery. Lounge area has TV/DVD and comfy couches for the weary traveller. | |
