Arrawarra-Corindi Beach
The Southern End...Arrawarra Headland Road will provide access to Arrawarra Headland Reserve. The reserve boasts the following facilities; picnic tables, toilets, beach shower, and a gravel boat ramps. Council Lifegaurds patrol Darlington/Lorikeet Monday - Sunday from 7 December for three weeks ending patrols on a Sunday. It is then patrolled on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until 26 January in the following year. Confirm times with Council's Senior Lifeguard, Greg Hackfath on 0418285073 or the Caravan Parks.
The Northern End (accessible via Beach Road)...Corindi Beach has a local shop, tennis courts, and a caravan park. The caravan park has picnic shelters, barbeque facilities, playground area, shower and toilet amenities, and beach showers. Corindi Beach is a great area for surfing, swimming and snorkelling enthusiasts. There are also great little rock pools for the little ones to have a puddle. The Yarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation operates an arts centre, bush tucker walk and community meeting facility. For the walking enthusiasts, Yuraygir National Park boasts many coastal tracks and beach walks north 8kms to Red Rock River and 14kms to Station Creek. A beautiful boardwalk extends through the rainforest to the northern end of Corindi Beach and is accessible from the beach or the sports oval. The beach is patrolled for the summer school holidays.
