Hallidays Point Rainforest Nature Walk

The track extends from Blackhead and Pebbly Beach to Redhead and Shelly Beach,
both areas of rainforest, with Black Head Beach in between. There are lookouts
and a picnic area at Blackhead and parking at both sites. Pebbly Beach
features interesting geological formations and the site of early Aboriginal
occupation in the area. There are many examples of interesting vegetation and
fauna to be seen.

The land through which the walk passes is fragile rainforest, which can be
easily damaged, particularly by loss of the forest canopy. For this reason it
is necessary to keep to the marked track and refrain from disturbing the
vegetation, as this can lead to dieback caused by the intrusion of wind and
salt air.
