Amazing Wollumbin Palms Retreat at Mt Warning is a 5 star award winning rainforest eco accommodation located in the heart of the sub-tropical Mt Warning caldera in Northern NSW, Australia. Altwood Lodge Altwood Lodge is our hobbit style lodge. The top of a hill has been removed, the lodge built from rock and stone, then the hill has been placed back on top again, so your roof and sides are grass. The roof looks truly hobbity with its skylights and chimney poking up from it. This lodge has been built with a true sense of fun and romance. Everywhere are gorgeous carvings and ornaments which suit the lodge. The front wall (lounge and bedroom) are full glass, and look straight to Mt Warning. The back wall is also glass, and looks out onto the courtyard featuring the outdoor spa in its own carved grotto. The whole lodge is extremely unique and very luxurious. The kitchen is large and very functional, the bathroom is large and again our basins are hand crafted, the toilet cistern is a fish tank, and the shower is huge and unique. There are too many wonderful things to mention about this lodge, you have to see it for yourself. But we promise you will not find anywhere like it for sheer smile value. Kings Lodge This beautiful lodge has been created around a pair of 300 year old hand carved teak ceilings from a Javanese Temple. The doors are also from the same temple. Kings Lodge has been designed as two large rooms separated by a breezeway. The first room is the lounge and kitchen, has unique and wonderful furniture, glass walls looking onto the lake, and lots of lovely carvings and ornaments everywhere. The second room is the bedroom and bathroom, again featuring the hand carved ceiling with gorgeous carved doors and doorways, suspended king size bed looking out through glass walls to the waterfall. The bathroom has hand painted wallpaper, a glass walled shower and stunning timber everywhere again. The basins are hand crafted also. The breezeway is central to these two rooms and features a large opium day bed, a koi pond and the spa. There is also a dining setting, barbecue and fireplace in the breezeway. Once again, lovely fittings and fixtures everywhere to marvel at. This lodge is a true piece of art, and never ceases to amaze its guests. Below Kings Lodge is a large lake full of wildlife including a platypus couple, water dragons, herons, ducks and other birdlife. Wallabies bounce around at dusk, and you will often have to slow down for an echidna to pass. This lodge is perfect for anniversaries and romantic breaks. Come and enjoy! Sir Joseph Banks Lodge Exquisite 12 sided rainforest yurt. This lodge has been crafted from eight different rainforest timbers, including the kitchen which is made from camphor lauryl so when you walk into it the small of wood is just wonderful! Because the lodge is 12 sided, the bed has been hand crafted to fit the room, and is also crafted from camphor lauryl. The balcony wraps around the lodge with relaxing loungers to lie on, a dining setting for those romantic dinners, and of course the spa which looks out into the forest. The balcony has lights underneath so the forest is lit up at night. The lounge has a wonderful fireplace, and the floor and ceiling are just beautiful. The bathroom features a double shower for his and hers showering, bidet, twin hand basins, and that beautiful timber everywhere. All our products are organic essential oil based and are eco friendly. French doors take you back out onto the balcony. This lodge is perfect for honeymooners as it is intimate and fun. And don't forget the optional hot and cold shower in the trees, or the hammock that swings over the gully. Romance and privacy at its best.
