Gunnawannabe is an Aboriginal owned cafe, gallery and learning centre. It is a coming together of ideas and dreaming.
Cafe food is reminiscent of the smell of a hot Australian eucalypt forest in summer, the subtle aromas of a verdant rainforest. A fusion of native and indigenous Australian herbs, spices and ingredients with gourmet international recipes.
Gunnawannabe also offers a diverse collection of Aboriginal artwork for sale from the Bundjalung nation, the Aboriginal community of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Bundjalung Aboriginal artefacts such as bull roarers, boomerangs, shields, bags, T-shirts, ties and a range of delicious bush spices and sauces are for sale.
Our cafe offers Bush Foods Sensation nights - bookings essential - and our Learning and Resource Centre offers broadband internet connection and an extensive library.
