Crawford House
Originally known as 'Olivene', the house was built in 1910 by DC Connor of Ballina for Mr William Ambrose Crawford and his new bride, Olive (nee White).
In 1982, the house was sold to the Ballina Shire Council and was used by community groups until it was opened as a heriage museum in October 2004.
The home has been restored by the Alstonville Plateau Historical Society and features many interesting household objects dating from the turn of the century to 1960.
Come and see how rural families lived in the last century. Displays are changed regularly.
