Tweed River Regional Art Gallery
The new Tweed River Art Gallery opened its doors to the public in February 2004.
The Gallery offers magnificent panoramic views of the Tweed Valley. The building has an education/workshop centre, four exhibition spaces, performance space; library and Gallery Cafe which serves find food, coffee and cake.
The Gallery collects works of two main themes: Australian portraits of all eras and mediums, as well as works by regional artists depicting the local area.
It recently housed an exhibition by Pro Hart who sadly passed away whilst his paintings were being displayed.
Exhibitions change throughout the year and cover various artistic mediums.

The exhibition program includes the National Tweed Wood Art Award, CPM National Print Award, and a Photographic Award as well as the Border Art Prize for local artists. Travelling exhibitions and exhibitions curated from the Gallery’s Collection and exhibitions by local artists.
The Gallery is aided by Friends who assist in raising funds to acquire new works, and Volunteers who help with front of house and administrative duties. New members are always welcome.
