Bagotville Barrage

The Barrage is a barrier limiting mixture of salt seawater with fresh water from the Tuckean Swamp. Hectares of waterlillies ornament the scene.

A variey of birds including Wandering Whistling-Duck, Balck Swan, Pacific Black Duck, Grey Teal, Hardhead, Pelican, Great and LIttle Egrets, Coots, Comb-crested Jacan, Black-fronted Dotterel, Rainbow Bee-eater, Superb and Red-backed Fairy-wrens and the Scarlet Honeyeater can be seen from the roadway.
