Lake Ainsworth
Lake Ainsworth is an unique area as it is only some 50 metres from the Pacific Ocean, yet it is a fresh water
lake. The black colouring comes from the roots of the tea trees which surround the lake. It is a very
popular swimming spot and the fresh water is reputed to contain qualities that are beneficial for your
health.
The lake is also a very popular inshore sailing spot, catamarans & sailboards, may be hired during holidays
and most weekends.
