Mount Warning National Park

Mount Warning National Park is 2455 hectares in size, and is located in the Tweed Valley 12 kilometres south-west of Murwillumbah off the Kyogle Road.

Mount Warning (Wollumbin) is the remnant central plug of an ancient volcano. Wollumbin is a sacred place of great significance to the people of the Bundjalung Nation. It is a traditional place of cultural lore, initiation and spiritual education.

Under Bundjalung law, only certain people can climb Wollumbin, so consider choosing to respect their heritage. The track is a steep 9 kilometres return trip, with a challenging rock scramble at the end.

As an alternative enjoy a stroll along the 200 metre Lyerbird Track or a picnic at Korrumbyn picnic area.

Useful information:
* Toilets are available only at the start of the walk.
* Suitable footwear should be warn
* Temperature drops rapidly as you ascend
* Carry your own refreshments
