Wanganui Gorge
Spectacular gorge with magnificent rainforest trees (many labelled eg. Red Cedar, Rosewood etc). 15 minute walk from car park to one of the northern district's largest strangler 'fig trees' with an enormous buttress root system a further 20 minutes from 'fig tree' to the 'cedar log', where there is short walk to the river bank and swimming hole. Wonderful views of the sheer rhyolite gorge walls & waterfalls can be enjoyed on this delightful drive just 34.4 km round trip from the village of Mullumbimby.
