Services

Abseiling

An ideal introduction to abseiling is on our own cliffs within the Briary. The session begins with a safety brief followed by instruction on how to abseil. On our small cliff you will learn about technique and the type of equipment used. With our friendly instructors to give encouragement, your confidence and style will have increased tenfold and you will be ready for a new challenge and larger pitch. At 30 metres, the big cliff is twice the distance, meaning double the fun! It has a large overhang for those wishing to travel face forward or upside down! All abseiling is completely safe and controlled by the guides. Excellent fun will be the reward for all those who take the challenge!

Canoeing

Canyoning is abseiling down waterfalls, sliding on rocks into pools of water, bouldering, and trekking, and climbing back out! Once tried, you will become addicted to this wonderful way of seeing pristine wilderness country, only viewed up close by the adventurous. Clouds Creek Canyon is a 20-minute drive away through large forests of eucalyptus along 4WD tracks, and has 3 pitches, which drop you into a majestic rainforest canyon. Be amongst the very few to see its wonders and explore another world. Other canyons can be accessed within the surrounding National Parks and State Forests. Come and enjoy a day or whole weekend.

Canyoning

Rock Climbing

On the sandstone cliffs of "Wonderland" at Glenreagh, just 30 minutes drive from our gate, you will explore the natural wonders of this magnificent area. Australian climbs are graded (1-30's) with beginners starting in the low teens, and whether you are just learning or an advanced climber there are plenty of challenges for us all. Rock climbing requires balance more than strength and each ascent uses a belay rope for safety. Full instruction on climbing and with your personal protection equipment, your guide will ease you into this graceful sport. We can also supply a picnic lunch to complete your day's enjoyment.

Whitewater Rafting

Rafting on the Nymboida River is truly a world-class experience. One or two day trips can be arranged with experienced guides in each raft. The day begins with a safety and instruction brief and then it's straight into whitewater paradise. Goolang Creek is man-made and suitable for rafting and kayaking. Enjoy a half or full day with refreshments whilst having amazing fun!
