Northern Explorer Tour

An unforgettable day awaits you as we explore the amazing beauty and unique attractions of the Currumbin and Tweed Valleys. The morning activities include a walk alongside Currumbin Cascades, a series of waterfalls and rock pools set amongst sub tropical rainforest in the World Heritage Mt Cougal National Park. A stop at the edge of the world's largest volcanic crater on land for a bird's eye view of the valley and learn about its creation and why it is one of the most precious and bio diverse areas on the planet. You also enjoy a fruit tasting at the home of the world's largest collection of tropical fruit, perhaps some Dragonfruit, Chocolate pudding fruit or Star Apple. Lunch is a short drive away at the riverside village of Tumbulgum, choose from the historic hotel, one of the cafe's or for those prepared perhaps a picnic by the river, the choice is yours. In the afternoon you visit an Alpaca farm for a walk amongst these cute and inquisitive animals, touch their fleece and see why it is known as the "fibre of the gods". An award winning winery is next, where you enjoy a wine tour and tasting while taking in the beautiful views down the valley to the ocean. The perfect way to finish a memorable day.

Sunday Markets

Experience the thrill of the largest rural markets in the country. Acres of stallholders await you, a diverse range of locally produced arts and crafts as well as farm/organic produce, all this without the hassle of driving, directions and parking. These markets are so large they move around the region, so the tour changes each week to capture the best these areas have to offer. All tours include free time in Byron Bay, a visit to Australia's most easterly point at Cape Byron Lighthouse, with a chance to see the whale migration during the season, and a fruit tasting at an Exotic Fruit Farm. Choose to lunch at the many stalls or dine in style at the many cafes at Byron. First Sunday of the Month: Byron Bay is world famous for its beaches and casual laidback lifestyle; it draws visitors from all over the world. Enjoy the markets, browse the local shops, or perhaps a swim. Second Sunday of the Month: The Channon is set in the heart of the rainforest country, a small hamlet it is the spiritual birthplace of the environmental movement. You also pass the Hippie town of Nimbin with its collection of rainbow painted alternative lifestyle stores. Fourth Sunday of the Month: Bangalow is a small hinterland town known for its cafes, arts and home ware stores set along its heritage streetscape. Enjoy the markets and explore this unique country town.
