This tranquil and peaceful setting is home to unique Australian wildlife in it’s natural surrounds - kangaroos, emus, echidnas and a prolific variety of colourful birdlife that makes this natural paradise their habitat - wild ducks, pelicans, waders, parrots, pink cockatoos, galahs, magpies and many other varieties.
The homestead is most comfortably appointed- elegant bedroom suites and the mellow furnishings blend tastefully into the natural landscape.
The Darling River offers excellent fishing, while the lake-like billabongs teem with yabbies- this delicious Australian delicacy can be compared to fresh water crayfish.
From Dunvegan, Mildura on the mighty Murray River is within easy reach. This oasis in the desert uses the life giving water of the great Murray River, through irrigation, to create a fertile verdant land. Here endless rows of grape vines, orange groves, citrus varieties, olives and prime vegetables luxuriate over the long sunlit days. This cornucopia of rich produce is sent to every corner of Australia.
You can take a paddlesteamer cruise on the Murray, staying a night at the famous, elegant Grand Hotel and dine at Stefano’s Cantina Restaurant, recognised as one of the finest in Australia.
