Milparinka Heritage and Visitor Centre

Housed in the historic Milparinka Barracks is the Milparinka Heritage and Tourism Centre for all your tourist information and maps.

Milparinka is the heart of rugged outback-western New South Wales. An old gold mining village, local people are working hard to preserve the history of the region, whether it be Sturt's 1845 exploration, or the mining and pastoral history of the district.

Within the community the Milparinka Heritage and Visitor Centre are creating facilities for visitors to enjoy and use, such as a local history centre in the old courthouse, a heritage trail, re-fence the cemetery, construct public toilets, and develop an indigenous park as a memorial to one of our late residents.

The Visitor Centre also helps to promote the wider region, which takes in Tibooburra, the Dog Fence, Sturt National Park, Cameron Corner, Farmstay Accommodation.
