Gundagais Historic Bridges

The historic bridges are:

Prince Alfred Bridge: Which is 921 metres in length and was completed in 1867. The original viaduct was replaced by the present one in 1896.

Sheahan Bridge: Which is 1143 metres long, was built and opened in 1977 as a by-pass for the Hume Highway.

Railway Bridge and Viaduct: The Viaduct is 819.4 metres long and was completed in 1902. An American company built the iron trust. The timber truss Viaduct is the longest of its kind ever built in Australia.
