and holds some extremely important items. These include a first-rate
yesteryear Telecom equipment display, a set of silver ingots marking
1,000 years of monarchy, an extensive and valuable worldwide collection of
shells. The celebrated scarlet coloured merino cloak worn by New South Wales
Governor and wool pioneer John Macarthur, is also on display and is the only
one of its kind in the world, made from the first bale of wool sent to England
by the Macarthur family in 1816.
