Sponars Chalet
Welcome to Sponars Chalet. Situated at 1500 metres altitude in the Kosciuszko National Park, seven kilometres from Perisher Blue, Sponars is an owner operated Chalet. It is an historic, well known landmark, a traditional ski lodge offering a unique snow holiday. Sponars sits on the site of the original Kosciuszko Hotel whose Grand Slam Ski run was the first commercial ski slope in the Snowy Mountains.
Sponars offers the best value hotel accommodation in the snow. They accommodate 100 guests in comfort with the rooms having ensuite facilities. Unlike most lodges in the snow Sponars has a Free Carpark for guests. Each morning either drive to the resort of catch their courtesy bus to Perisher Blue.
They have lots of activity in the lodge in the evenings. There are regular musicians who entertain around the bar. There are karaoke nights, impromptu sessions around the pianola, darts competitions, bingo, trivial pursuit.
