Historic Beaufort House is perfectly located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, a short drive east of Wagga Wagga, or for those traveling south a short drive out of historic "Dog on the Tuckerbox” town, Gundagai. Being just 27 kilometres off the Hume Freeway on the Snowy Mountains Highway, nestled in the foothills of Kosciuszko National Park, 15 minutes from Tumut. Beaufort House and Adelong, steeped in history, make a memorable stop over or getaway.
The 'Beaufort House' establishment features a 'Boutique Hotel', 'The Altar Wine Bar', 'Coat of Arms Kaffeehaus Restaurant', and four motel rooms.

Amsterdam and Paris Rooms (Queen bed)These rooms have personalities of there own, the "Amsterdam" room overlooking the main street with direct balcony access for those who wish to chat with other guests whilst admiring the historic township. "Paris" offers far more privacy for those wishing a little solitude with a loved one. Explore the individually selected antiques (circa 1890's) and original paintings that reflect the name given to them for that additional atmosphere. Queen Bed, complimentary port for that evening of reminiscing, and of course your bathrobes are provided (private share facilities). With Beaufort House being built in the 1920's, the owners have to their best endeavour kept this Private hotel in its original state, hence the private shared facilities. With the three separate bathrooms, many guests have commented how beautifully appointed they are and why we even mention shared facility as their privacy is rest assured. London and Edinburgh Rooms (Queen bed)Both the London and Edinburgh rooms have been tastefully decorated with personalities of their own creating an ambience of yesteryears luxury with assorted antiques ranging from 1830's - 1890's. They have been chosen specifically to reflect each name given to the rooms. The rooms are set back from the main street for those that seek more privacy. Queen Bed, complimentary port for that evening of reminiscing, and of course your bathrobes are provided (private share facilities). Motel RoomsIn addition to the boutique hotel, Beaufort House has the only motel rooms available within historic Adelong. The motel rooms were built along side Beaufort House in the 1950's as an additional accommodation choice. They have been decorated in a cozy and homely fashion for a comfortable stay. Motel rooms are a separate entity. All four rooms are situated back off the main street and fully equipped with television, minibar fridge, toaster, microwave, heating and cooling and tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board is also provided. For the car enthusiast or traveler, Beaufort House offers its motel guests off street parking directly in front of their rooms, with gates locked at night. You have a choice of king size or twin single bed rooms. For those who love to take their small K9 companion on their adventures, talk to the owners as they themselves are K9 lovers and will endeavour to solve your quandary. Venice, Prague, Dublin and Florence Rooms (Double Bed)The names say it all, magnificently appointed, each room has a surprise of its own and many a tale can be told. Prague, Dublin and Florence rooms lead directly onto the balcony while the "Venice" room has a little privacy overlooking the historic rear courtyard (private share facilities). With Beaufort House being built in the 1920's, the owners have to their best endeavour kept this private hotel in its original state, hence the private shared facilities. Vienna SuiteWith an attention to detail the Vienna suite creates the feeling, you have stepped back in time with all the modern conveniences, this is you. The room has been beautifully decorated, featuring an imported, hand carved four poster Queen bed, 160 year old European antique furnishings, a large ensuite with double shower head, home theatre system, (television, CD, DVD), mini bar fridge, reverse cycle air-conditioning, and tea and coffee making facilities. For that added touch of opulence freshly ground organic coffee, decaf and a range of imported teas. Port is provided so why not pour a glass for and your loved one retire to the balcony and grab that feeling of "Duke and Dutches of the Court" overlooking your town. | |
