Historic Currango Homestead
Built in 1895, the homestead is the centre of Currango Station and the residence of the caretakers.
Currango is ideal for those looking for something a little different. It's the perfect base for bushwalking, fishing and just relaxing in Kosciuszko National Park near Tumut. The homestead and its surrounding cottages offer rustic accommodation and an experience of life in the high country 100 years ago.
Currango is remote and an hour's drive from the nearest town. All food and drink must be brought in. Mobile phones do not operate.
Currango is in a national park and all park laws apply.
No pets, firearms or chainsaws permitted.
Candles are not permitted due to fire danger.
All flora, fauna, historic buildings and ruins are protected.
All rubbish and recyclables are to be removed and responsibly disposed of outside the national park.

Daffodil CottageCaters for a maximum of 5 people. Currango is remote and an hour's drive from the nearest town. All food and drink must be brought in. Mobile phones do not operate. Fresh water - piped to the cottage is recommended that is should be boiled. Daffodil Cottage does not have running water or indoor plumbing. Toilet facilities are outside and rustic. Bush Showers outside only. Guests are to thoroughly clean cottages before departure. Guests must bring all bedding linen and towels. Cooking items are limited, some crockery, utensils and pots are provided for cooking on wood fired stoves. Many previous guests bring their own for convenience. Lighting, a lamp is needed for the cottages though some solar lighting is installed. Torches are a good idea for visiting the toilets during the night. Homestead AccommodationThere are four bedrooms available with a maximum of seven people staying. Costs is per person. Currango is remote. All food and drink must be brought in.
