Lambie Town Walk

A self-guided tour which you can walk, drive or bike, maps available from Cooma Visitor Information Centre.

Located within Cooma, the walk passes through residential and natural areas of scenic and historic interest. Originally designed and constructed by the Goulburn Lands Office in 1985 and named for the then Commissioner of Lands, John Lambie the easy walk consists of 5kms around town.

With three Heritage Areas recognised by the National Trust there are several points of interest to see along the walk including; Centennial Park, Solomon's Store, Cooma Courthouse, Cooma Gaol, Lambie Residential District, Southern Cloud Memorial Park, St. Paul's Church, St. Patrick's Church.

There is also the Lambie Bush Reserve, a 5 km long bush walk which will take an additional 2 hours to complete and takes you through some of the surrounding bushland. Or you might decide to go to the Lambie Gorge, originally an Aboriginal Womens site, the gorge has had a facinating history and has recently been upgrade with handrails for easier access.
