Cheddar House Bed & Breakfast and Cottage
Past: The Old Moruya Cheese Factory
The Moruya Co-Operative Cheese Factory was originally opened, with great fanfare amongst local farmers and residents, on 16th November 1892 and due to the success and skill in Cheese making displayed by the Manager, H.J.Parbury and his staff and the ever increasing demand by local dairy farmers, to supply more high quality butter fat milk, was replaced in the early 1930`s by the present landmark, a concrete and oregon timbered building which remains to this day for all to admire.
Present: Cheddar House
Part of the interior factory building has been transformed into a tasteful and gracious home with shrubs and trees planted to establish a beautiful and peaceful garden to complement the serenity of the house. The West Wing of the residence with bedroom adjacent to a lounge area, boasts French Doors leading to an outside deck area, a large ensuite bathroom and walk in robe, is available for Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast can be served on the private deck, or in an outside garden setting graced by a pond and original Antique Factory Machinery or in the impressive sun-drenched family dining room. A fully self-contained Cottage, originally part of the Cheese factory, is also available on request. Here you can enjoy your own private garden area and use of Gazebo for Breakfast.
