Grove Bed and Breakfast
Purpose designed for Bed and Breakfast accommodation, The Grove is the realisation of a long-held dream of Pat and Brian Gorman, who have recently moved to Narooma from Canberra. Situated on fifty hectares, the house overlooks Wagonga Inlet, three kilometres from the town of Narooma, on the south coast of New South Wales.
The Grove consists of twenty hectares of undulating pasture land and thirty hectares of eucalyptus forest, including patches of cathedral-like rain forest. The top section offers panoramic views to Montague Island and Mount Dromedary. Two creeks rise on the property and flow into the estuary. There are walks of various durations and ease of access within our property and along our boundaries, and there is an abundance of bird life and native animals to be seen in their natural habitats.
The Grove has three double bedrooms in a guest wing, each with its own bathroom and distinctive decor. All are furnished and maintained to a high standard. One guest suite has a double spa bath. The design of the house has been influenced by older Australian rural traditions, incorporating hand-crafted doors, windows and louvres. The extensive verandahs are paved with sandstone. Here, weather permitting, guests are served a gourmet breakfast of their choice. The property offers a relaxed atmosphere in a stylish and comfortable setting. There is a spacious guest lounge with billiard table, library, piano and cosy wood fire. The Grove is surrounded by gardens, with an emphasis on less common Australian plants.
A short break at The Grove is the answer for those seeking respite from busy lives in cities or a break from driving long distances between the capitals.
Visitors can participate in the many activities available in the Narooma area and in Eurobodalla and neighbouring Shires, including swimming and strolling on pristine beaches, golfing on scenic and challenging courses, horse riding, bush walking, diving, whale watching in season, and fishing.
Your hosts, Pat and Brian, have travelled widely, and have stayed at many bed and breakfast establishments, overseas and in Australia. We have endeavoured to incorporate their best features into The Grove. We invite you to come, unwind and enjoy our hospitality in a tranquil, idyllic setting. for two horses for guests who wish to bring their own horses.
