Bendeela Pondage And Pumping Station
The Bendeela pumping station pumps water 127 metres vertically to a 870 mega litre balance reservoir above
Fitzroy Falls. A picnic area with toilets is located on the banks of the Kangaroo River. Visitors are
encouraged to bring their own gas barbeque which may be used except during a total fire ban. Camp fires
and charcoal barbeques are prohibited. A tour of the station is available by appointment only. Bush camping
is allowed by the banks of the Kangaroo River.
