South Pacific Heathland Reserve
The fourteen hectare South Pacific Heathland Reserve, is located in Dowling Street (1.3km south along the Princes Highway from Ulladulla Tourist Centre). The primary purpose of the reserve is the protection and preservation of rare native flora and fauna. It is administered by a voluntary group of citizens acting as trustees for the Department of Lands. The main feature is the Chris Humphries Nature Walk - an easy 2km walk on a gently undulating track.
There are over 100 species of trees and plants identified within the five Heathland communities, and its main inhabitants are birds (over 90 species have been observed), Skinks, Mountain Dragons and the occasional snake.
