Reel Affair Fishing Charters Merimbula
Reel Affair Fishing Charters, incorporating Merimbula Game Fishing Excursions, offer private and share fishing charters, from September to July. Their Inshore and Deep Sea Reef systems offer a variety of species all year round. Their Game season runs from December to July, with two runs of Yellowfin (at the start and finish) and Marlin in between, and their summer months usually produce a good run of Kingfish. There's both half day and full day trips available.
During Spring (September-November), Merimbula has a spectacular southern migration whale watch season. Thousands of Humpbacks travel past the coastline and up close encounters are common. Reel Affair offers a very intimate experience with a maximum of only 12 passengers on board. Both share and private charters are available for morning and afternoon cruises throughout the season. They offer a guaranteed sighting or free return cruise from mid September to mid November.

Game FishingThe ultimate fishing challenge, game fishing is a memorable adventure on board Reel Affair. The skipper has the extensive experience required to land these huge fighting fish. He has excellent knowledge of the waters of the Sapphire Coast and combined with the fish-finding technology on board, can locate these elusive fish. The Sapphire Coast game fishing season operates from December-June. Game fish targeted on the Sapphire Coast include Yellow-Fin Tuna, Black, Blue and Striped Marlin. Reef FishingExperienced and first-time fishermen can enjoy reef fishing on board Reel Affair year round. The skipper has had many years of experience in reef fishing. Reel Affair often returns with the most number of fish caught in Merimbula, because of the skipper's knowledge of local waters and the boat's fish finding equipment. The Sapphire Coast is home to a variety of Reef fish including Leather Jackets, Morwong, Flathead, Snapper, Gummy Shark, Salmon and Kingfish. Whale WatchingImagine the thrill of seeing the world's largest mammals totally at ease in their natural environment. Reel Affair carries a maximum of 12 passengers, ensuring plenty of room for close encounters, resulting in great photos. The most commonly sighted whales are Humpbacks and Southern Rights, though there have been sightings of Blue and Orca. Whenever possible, a National Parks and Wildlife Service ranger will be on board to answer questions. The season runs from September-November. |
