‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’ offers award winning luxury 4.5 star self-contained accommodation on the banks of the Colo River in the Hawkesbury region of Sydney. Located only 25 minutes north of Windsor and 80 minutes from the Sydney Central Business District, our 86 acre ‘adult’s only’ retreat provides an ideal weekend escape.
‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’ features three uniquely designed hexagonal cottages. Each cottage is nestled into the hillside and the natural bush-land setting exudes a feeling of living in a ‘tree house’. Each cottage uses subtle theming to create individual appeal and the aspect of each cottage maximises privacy for you whilst offering superb views of the Colo Valley.
Each unique and individually designed cottage is superbly appointed with quality inclusions: log fires, spa baths and comfortable queen size beds. Lyrebird Lodge, Blue Wren Cottage and The Bower are named to depict some of the beautiful birds found on the property. ‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’ offers an extensive range of customised packages. If you wish to indulge, our own Personal Chef can create a gastronomic sensation or you can enjoy a gourmet seafood platter or simply bring your own. A sumptuous breakfast basket with home baked bread is prepared for you and delivered to your cottage at whatever time you request.
At ‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’ we specialise in creating romantic getaways. We are the only accommodation provider in Australia to offer a unique ‘Romantic Indulgence’ package. Your own magnificent white horse and carriage will carry you onto our property prior to indulging in a gourmet cheese platter by the river, complimented by overnight accommodation a personal chef to create the memory of a lifetime.
Jim and Diane Swaisland are proud to own and operate our family business ‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’. Our property “Ossian Hall” dates back to the first fleet and was originally given as a government grant in 1818 by Governor Macquarie to Andrew McDougall, one of the first three, free settlers to arrive on the SS Barwell in 1798. One of the aims when we established ‘Ossian Hall Valley Retreat’ was to share our beautiful farm and the unique colonial heritage with you!

Then curl up in front of the log fire with a glass of port and toast the marshmallows.
