Fairfield City Farm
Fairfield City Farm is where the country comes to town. It is a 580-acre working sheep and cattle farm close to the heart of Sydney. It's a fun day out for families and tourists alike with a variety of shows and exhibits. With wide open space there are a range of educational tours for infants, primary and secondary schools. City Farm also has facilities that cater for corporate functions and private parties.
Your day at Fairfield City Farm can include a visit to the Farmyard nursery where people can hold and feed farm animals, cow milking, a sheep shearing show, whip cracking show and working dog show. You can see native animals including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and emus. There’s also a permaculture garden, wildlife dam, farm animals, reptiles, alpacas and aviaries. Other activities include tractor rides and children's birthday packages.
Facilities at the City Farm include Farmhouse takeaway, souvenir shop, barbecue and picnic areas and a children’s playground. Meeting, conference and function venues are available. Other events and activities can be organised by arrangement.
