From imposing banks to opulent shops and old warehouses, much of Sydneys commercial history can be seen in its buildings. These businesses displayed
their wealth and power though the construction of elaborate offices. The offices give Sydney its unique character, which can be appreciated on the City of
Sydney Commerce Walking Tour. Highlights on the tour are the State Heritage Listed AWA Building, Commonwealth Bank, General Post Office, Grace
Building, MLC Building and Westpac Bank.
This walk will take you through the heart of the City's financial and retail district pointing out landmarks, their architectural features and the history behind
them. The walk starts at St James Station and finishes at the Queen Victoria Building.
