Alyn Cottage Gallery
Set in the magnificent bushland of Bowen Mountain, Alyn Cottage offers more than 50 paintings by various local artists in oils, watercolour and pastels. The resident artists, Alan and Lyn James, specialize in paintings of Australian birds, animals and scenery. Craft displays at the gallery include sewn articles, floral art, shirts, cards, pottery and folk art. Art instruction videos are available, and painting demonstrations by artist Alan James can be booked for parties of up to 20. Bring your group and enjoy morning or afternoon tea while you watch Alan at his easel.
There is no entry fee, except for groups, where there is a gold coin donation. This gives you the opportunity to win a lucky door prize, the painting that Alan has completed in front of your eyes! For nature lovers and bushwalking enthusiasts, there are beautiful flowers, local birds and nature trails in abundance in the surrounding bushland.
