Bus And Truck Museum Of NSW
Operated by The Historic Commercial Vehicle Association Co-Op, the Bus and Truck Museum is claimed to be one of the largest museums of its kind in the world. Vintage double deck bus rides operate on Sundays between the museum, Newtown Station and Marrickville Metro.
The museum features a comprehensive display of restored commercial vehicles. Many of these are the only remaining examples left of their type in Australia. Exhibits range from an early 1924 'Ruggles' Bus to the 1970 Atlantean Double Decker, a genuine London bus and a London style taxi. Other exhibits include lorries, trucks, prime movers and coaches which are the backbone of Australian industry.
Experience transport history as captured on film, in the photographic display. Enjoy the collection of artefacts and memorabilia all which complete the street scene of Sydney's past. There is a transport bookshop on site and refreshments available. Barbeques are available for groups though prior arrangement required.
