Yerranderie

Yerranderie is a privately owned ghost town situated on the western side of Lake Burragorang.

Features of the area include - Historic Silver Mines, Classified Heritage Area, Private Wildlife Sanctuary. bushwalks & Camping as well as Lodge style accommodation is available.

In the early 1900's the towns population exploded to around 3000 people and included a School and Bank as well as a Church, Police Station and Court House. The metals mined in Yerranderie include Silver and Lead (from galena) as well as Gold.

The area is rich in wildlife including Gray Forrester Kangaroos, Wombats, Wallabies, Walleroos and Mountain Birds.
