Berowra Valley Regional Park
The Berowra Valley Regional Park stretches from Pennant Hills to Berowra Waters. The Park is approximately 4,000 hectares, and provides a bushland amenity close to the city and passive recreational opportunities for the community, and a protected habitat for native flora and fauna.
There are extensive walking tracks, including a section of the Great North Walk. Canoeing is popular on Berowra Creek from Crosslands Reserve. Scenic lookouts can be found at Barnetts Road Reserve and Galston Gorge.
Dog walking is welcome on three fire trails.
• Bellamy Fire Trail between Bellamy Street and De Saxe Close, Thornleigh
(450m);
• Daphne Fire Trail between Tuscan Way (end Daphne Close) and Patricia Place,
Cherrybrook (430m); and
• Clarinda Fire Trail between Clarinda Street and Simon Place, Hornsby (430m).
Leashed walking is also permitted on a number of peripheral trails.
