Cordeaux Dam

Cordeaux Dam was completed in 1926 initially to supply water to the Sydney Area. From the 1940's until 1992 it serviced the South Coast region near Wollongong and Port Kembla. It now supplies water to Sydney via the Upper Canal and Prospect Reservoir.

Cordeaux was the second of The Upper Nepean Dams. It is 58 metres high, holds water from a 90 square kilometre catchment and forms a lake of 780 hectares, with a capacity of 93,635 mega litres.

Facilities include:
Picnic and Barbecue areas, barbecues (electric & wood), free wood & boiling water, shelter sheds, toilets (baby change facility available), playground for children and viewing areas.
