Muogamarra National Park
Muogamarra is a place of unique beauty and scientific value only open to the public for 6 weekends a year.
Muogamarra, pronounced Moo-o-ga-marra, is an Aboriginal word of the Awabagal. It means ‘preserve the future’, symbolising the purpose for which the area was dedicated. The reserve covers approximately 2,500ha and is managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to preserve its wonderful diversity of flora and fauna for scientific and educational purposes.
The Muogamarra Nature Reserve is open to the public on annual open days for 6 weekends in August and September. A number of guided walks are scheduled each weekend during this period.
