Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Harbour Walk including Hermitage Foreshore Scenic Walk
This four and a half hour, 8km walk offers a great opportunity to explore the rugged cliffs, secluded coves, parkland and remant bushland of Sydney Harbour's southeastern foreshores.
Along the way there are historic houses and gardens, magnificent sandy beaches, breathtaking harbour views, Sydney bushland and residential streets giving you a peak at how some Sydneysiders live. Neilson Park offers a picturesque place for a coffee or a swim, or you could wait until you arrive at Watsons Bay and enjoy fish and chips at Watsons Bay Hotel, offering views back down the harbour to the city skyline.
The walk starts at Lyne Park, Rose Bay and continues through Tingira Reserve, Percival Park, Dumaresq Reserve, Hermitage Foreshore Scenic Walk, Strickland House, Nielsen Park, Vaucluse House & Bay, Parsley Bay Reserve, finishing at Watsons Bay.
Accessing the Walk:
Join a Ferry from Circular Quay to Rose Bay, or Watsons Bay to do the walk in reverse. Buses also operate from Circular Quay (number 325) to Rose Bay or Watsons Bay.
