A Luxury Yacht on Sydney Harbour
A Sydney Harbour & Islands cruise aboard the luxury yacht “Sydney Sundancer” combines the stability and comfort of a motor boat with the grace and serenity of a sailing yacht. Your comfort during your Sydney Harbour & Islands cruise is guaranteed because there is a large canopy extending virtually the whole length of the vessel giving perfect protection in all weathers.
“Sydney Sundancer” is only the charter boat, to win BOTH the City of Sydney Council Award for The Best Decorated Boat on New Years Eve, and The Australia Day Council’s award for The Best Presented Charter Boat on Sydney Harbour, so you will appreciate just how much effort Lynne & John Boyce invest in making each and every cruise a success !!
The American gourmet magazine “Bon Appetit” has written to Lynne, requesting one of her recipes for publication in the USA, so you can be assured that the meal you enjoy aboard will exceed expectation and surpass much of what is served in well known Sydney restaurants.
John & Lynne look forward to welcoming you aboard the “Sydney Sundancer”. Their intimate knowledge of Sydney Harbour & Islands and more than 20 years of experience ensure guests satisfaction is guaranteed.

A New Years Eve Sydney Harbour CruiseEach year Australia's pyrotechnic professionals improve their performance and from Sydney Sundancer's expansive decks; you will gain an uninterrupted view of the evenings activities. One of the most important things to consider about New Years Eve is that smaller boats (capacity up to 50 guests) are better than larger vessels (capacity 100 - 300 & more) because the larger vessels MUST be keep a long distance away from the fireworks because if they were close to the display their sheer size would block the vision of all the other boats in the vicinity! On this very special occasion, the Harbour is “flooded” with boats of all descriptions and only the most skilful of skippers can manoeuvre their craft for the best position to view the activities. As the owners and crew, your hosts Lynne & John Boyce have more than 20 years experience of chartering on Sydney Harbour for all the major and crowded events, so you can be assured that your skipper will place us in the BEST spot possible and that the food and attentive friendly service will surpass your expectations. We only have a limited number of tickets available for this New Years Eve, so please email sailors@luxuryyacht.com.au for more details. A Sydney Harbour WeddingWhen the wedding ceremony is conducted aboard our yacht, usually position the "Sydney Sundancer" on Sydney Harbour immediately in front of the Opera House with its two giant arches forming a massive "Cathedral" behind the Bride and Groom. All guests have a clear view and can really feel part of the ceremony. Unique service included complimentary photographs take during the Harbour cruise. These photographs will be forwarded to you to remind you of your special day. We have won the prestigious Australian Bridal Industry Award for Excellence for the Best Harbour Reception Vessel four years in a row (2003 through 2006). This is particularly noteworthy because ACTUAL Bridal appraisal of our service (in a number of categories including “value for money”) in their own wedding, is THE evaluation criteria on which the award is based! So many families have found "relief" when the special occasion is over, rather than pleasure in the joy of their loved ones, that we have introduced our "one stop package" where we can take the burden from your shoulders by leaving the arrangements in our capable hands. They also offer a unique wedding package which includes optional overnight accommodation and champagne breakfast, served aboard the following morning. A Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race Harbour Cruise'Boxing Day is the best day of the year to cruise Sydney Harbour because the colourful start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is the Southern Hemisphere's most prestigious yacht rac ! It takes all John's skills, as a former yacht racing champion and with more than 20 years experience as a charter skipper, to position "Sydney Sundancer" right on the start line for a clear uninterrupted view of the competing craft as the starting gun is fired. Then, as the armada of spectator craft surges forward, John maintains this exclusive position alongside the racing yachts so that all guests aboard "Sydney Sundancer" appreciate and almost become part of the action. The day begins with a short Sydney Harbour cruise before we take up our priority position (reserved for charter boats) right on the start line for Australia's premier Blue Water Racing Classic. Once the ancient muzzle loading cannon is fired, signifying the start of this world famous event, we follow the fleet of racing yachts to farewell them and wish them bon voyage at the Heads of Sydney Harbour. We are in a perfect position to view (almost become part of) the maxi's (the formula one racing yachts of the world) competition. Having farewelled the fleet, we will continue our Sydney Harbour cruise before anchoring for a late lunch accompanied by live entertainment from our "muso" who is an expert guitarist and singer. Australia Day Sydney Harbour CruiseIt is our nations' birthday on January 26th, and we will be right in the middle of the best place to party - Sydney Harbour where the atmosphere is infectious!! The Australia Day Council has planned a whole day and evening of celebration on Sydney Harbour! Our party begins with the Great Ferry Race aptly named the "Ferrython" then almost before the excitement has died down, we will participate in the Australia Day Parade of vessels, many in fancy dress! As it is our Nations' Birthday, we will decorate Sydney Sundancer with hundreds of flags in Australia's sporting colours GREEN & GOLD as a tribute to our fantastic sportsmen and women who have made us proud over the years. We have won the Australia Day prize for BEST AUSSIE THEME DISPLAY in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2007 and this year we have a plan to win another prize so we hope you will join in our endeavour. Other highlights of the day include a colourful airborne display as our champion pilots from the RAAF perform precision flying above our heads and a search and rescue display, where helicopters simulate the rescue of sailors after they have abandoned ship. The Army's elite Parachute regiment, the Red Berets even splash down into Circular Quay. Then in complete contrast to the air borne action of the modern day, we will be presented with historic sailing vessels - Sydney's fleet of Tall Ships, all decked out in their finest regalia. Fireworks! Fireworks! Fireworks! That is what everyone remembers about the evening on Australia Day, but the evening cruise is more than that!! We will enjoy the worlds' only floating Jazz festival. Music is broadcast to the armada of spectator boats from giant loud speakers, while the band is aboard the "Music Shell" pontoon in the middle of the anchored fleet. Great jazz is followed by a spectacular fireworks display that is synchronised to the music played live by the band. When the fireworks are matched to Advance Australia Fair the feeling of pride and mateship is incredible. There are just so many exciting activities in which to participate that most charter vessels charge a very high premium for the occasion (some more than double our price) but we want to share this great day with our fellow "Aussie's" so we have kept the price to a low $120.00 per person for each cruise (which is the same price as last year). We are able to keep the cost of both cruises low because we ask you to join in the spirit of Australia Day and bring your own picnic and drinks. | |
