Blue Mountains High Country 4WD EcotourThis fantastic Ecotour begins at your hotel and the historical Rocks area of old Sydney. Heading westwards across the coastal plain we make our way to the Great Dividing Range of Australia. It is here we leave the 'average' Blue Mountains tourist behind and enter the National Park to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed. We visit ancient Aboriginal sites and outstanding lookouts, examine rock formations and the unusual plants and wildlife that abound the area. From the quaint little village of Leura we skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba where you will find yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley (Australia's Grand Canyon) and the Three Sisters. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines and cheeses under the canopy of the Australian bush. Blue Mountains Two Day ExperienceThis leisurely two day experience is a great way to unwind and truly appreciate the magnificent Blue Mountains. It gives you the opportunity to recover from your long flight over, or after your hectic couple of weeks touring Australia. This rejuvenating experience begins at your hotel and the historical Rocks area of old Sydney. Travelling out of the busy city, we make our way up into the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Along the way we take time to explore some of the mountains' hidden secrets. Your experienced guide will take you to awe inspiring lookouts and ancient Aboriginal sites. Away from the tourists crowds you will also learn about the amazing plants and animals unique to Australia. We enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch under the canopy of the bush before your drop off around 2.30pm, gives you the opportunity to spend the afternoon at your own leisure. Your guide will give you local maps and information with plenty of ideas on what to see and do. Relax by a short stroll through the gardens, or take a short walk to one of the wonderful lookouts close by. The following day our driver will come to collect you at 2.30pm to take you into this foothills wilderness region of the Blue Mountains National Park, to seek out the many Eastern Grey kangaroos grazing in the wild (weather permitting). We return to your hotel in the city at around 5.30pm, passing by the impressive 2000 Olympic site along the way. This truly relaxing tour is simply the best way to begin or conclude your travels to Australia. City Sights Half Day Discovery TourDeparting your city hotel at 8am, travel to the charming Rocks area, where you take a stroll around the historic area, with its quaint old cottages, pubs and churches. Rejoin the vehicle and travel along Macquarie Street, the seat of government for NSW, the Mint and Hyde Park Barracks. Travelling past St Mary's Cathedral, you visit Mrs Macquarie's Chair for an unsurpassed view of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and Bridge. Continuing along the shores of Sydney Harbour, you travel through Kings Cross, Double Bay and Rose Bay. Pass by the upmarket real estate and pause briefly for a home prepared morning tea in the beautiful Sydney Harbour National Park. After morning tea, travel further to South Head, with its breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the city. Take a short stroll along the cliff tops and rejoin the vehicle to Bondi Beach and Centennial Park. Return to Circular Quay at 12pm where your tour ends. Historic Hunter Valley Vintage TourA trip to Sydney is not complete without a visit to the wineries of the Hunter Valley. Leaving your hotel we travel through the historic Rocks before crossing over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We wind our way through the leafy Northern Suburbs and then escape through the brilliant sandstone outcrops of Ku-ring-gai National Park to reach the Hawkesbury River. Stop for a traditional Aussie morning tea in the bush and then continue onto the historic town of Wollombi, famous for its local brew called Dr Jurd's Jungle Juice. From Mt View we descend into the Hunter Valley and begin our wine tasting at a few of the boutique wineries in the area. We chat to the owners, admire their cottage locations and let them show off the best of their vintages. At the foothills of the Broken Back Range, enjoy lunch then spend the afternoon visiting some of the larger vineyards for more wine tasting. As the afternoon approaches we return to Sydney via the scenic freeway to conclude this relaxing and enjoyable day. Historic Sydney Harbour and North Sydney TourDelight yourself with this exciting tour which takes in the best features of this fantastic city; the harbour, gardens, coast and the rivers. Beginning amongst the historical Rocks area of old Sydney you will learn of the early settlers and convicts of over 200 years ago. Walk through the Botanical Gardens, taking in the history of the Opera House and other famous buildings around the harbour foreshore. At Circular Quay we board one a ferry to Manly, where we join our vehicle for a tour along the beautiful northern beaches and into Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. We enjoy a buffet picnic lunch in the bush and then make our way to some of the outstanding lookouts in the park. The fantastic views of Palm Beach, Woy Woy and Lion Island, are breathtaking. Taking a short bushwalk we trace the history of the Garingai Aboriginal people whom once inhabited this area and examine their incredible rock art. We return to the city over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This tour is also available as a Half-Day tour. The Coastal Vista of Tweed Heads and KingscliffDeparting the coastal vista of Tweed Heads and Kingscliff, your tour this morning heads inland via Murwillumbah and snakes along the Tweed River. Travel through rich volcanic pastureland and magnificent escarpments before entering the Mt Warning National Park. Mt Warning is the ancient core of the largest and best preserved extinct shield volcano in the world. Be enthralled by this World Heritage listed park that features rich rainforest and abundant wildlife. Travelling to the base of Mt Warning we take a stroll along an elevated walkway to a magical viewing platform. Rejoining the vehicle we travel south to the charming town of Uki. Famous for its arts and crafts, we enjoy a beautiful home made morning tea at the local Uki Café. Winding along the road, our next stop is Brays Creek and the Mebbin National Park. Here your informative guide will walk you through the rainforest passing by an ancient stand of Giant Fig trees. Be on the lookout for the elusive Lyre Bird. We continue on to the small town of Tyalgum stopping frequently to enjoy the exhilarating views of the famous landmark the Pinnacle. Once at Tyalgum, you will have the chance to sit back and relax with the locals for a bite to eat at the Tyalgum Hotel. Enjoy the atmosphere and sumptuous local food at this classic country pub. Heading north now, our next stop is at Chillingham and the World Famous Bucks Banana Cabana. Check out the amazing variety of organically grown local fruit and vegetables as well as some surprises. Maybe even enjoy a frozen chocolate banana. Continuing north through the Numinbah Valley, it is here we cross the border from New South Wales into Queensland. We enter the Springbrook National Park where your guide will take you on a short walk to experience one of the region's most stunning rock formations Natural Bridge. Pass underneath the waterfall into the cave and look out for the glow worms. Rejoining the vehicle we travel deeper into the Springbrook National Park experiencing stunning views of the Gold Coast. We save the best to last though with a look out over "The best look out of al"”, passing by an ancient stand of Antarctic Beech Trees, which are over 200 years old. Rejoining the vehicle we enjoy a relaxing meander back down through the township of Mudgeeraba on our way back to the Tweed. Ultimate Sydney SailingThis unique day is the ultimate way to experience the beauty of Sydney. Your experienced guide greets you at your city hotel for a walk around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the first church in Australia and the convict built cottages. We then take a walk around the Observatory Hill, around Circular Quay, Opera House and into the magnificent Botanical Gardens. Joining the vehicle under the famous Harbour Bridge, we drive through Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross, as well as the ritzy Double Bay area. Along the foreshore of the Eastern suburbs we pass by the up-market homes of the rich and famous. Arriving at Watsons Bay on South Head, we enjoy a meal of Doyle's famous fish and chips in the park with a bottle of chilled Australian wine & a cheese platter. We return to the city, visiting Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits for a cruise around Sydney Harbour with a delicious afternoon tea. After an incredible two hours on the world's most beautiful harbour, your vessel returns to Darling Harbour. | |
