Bass 2 Bait Fishing Adventures
Bass 2 Bait Fishing Adventures offers fishing charters of the Nepean River Gorge, as well as fishing adventures at the Sydney International Regatta Centre at Penrith Lakes.
Bass 2 Bait is a freshwater lure fishing specialist, using Shimano fishing equipment and a custom built Bass boat. You will be escorted by a local fishing guide, targeting Bass, Mullet, Carp, Herring and more. All equipment is supplied, including a fishing licence and light refreshments and snacks.
Your guide is Steve Defina, who lives locally and has been fishing these parts for a long, long time. All levels of skill and experience are catered for, from the first timers through to the legends, and if you’re into fly fishing we can help you there too.
A certain times of the year we also offer fishing trips onto The International Regatta Centre which has been stocking their lakes with bass for over 10 years.

Bass 2 Bait Freshwater FishingWe set out from the wharf at Tench Reserve, Penrith and head up river deep into the Nepean Gorge. The most popular tour is half day (approximately four and half hours) at anytime that suits you. Our custom built boat allows us passage to place where few people, let alone fishing people, get to go. Truly the catching of fish is a bonus as you are in an amazing natural wonderland, sheer sandstone gorge walls, huge gums, clear clean water, osprey's flying overhead, fish leaping from the water, a true hidden treasure and only 45 minutes from downtown Sydney and fringed by the Blue Mountains National Park. Bass 2 Bait targets the hard fighting native bass as well as freshwater and bully mullet, huge carp (up to 15 kilograms!) and, an easy one for the kids to reel in, the freshwater herring. All the equipment you will need is supplied all you need to bring is a hat and jacket, and your fishing licence for the day is included. We carry plenty of water, soft drinks, snacks and fruit on board. | |
