Day One – Adelaide - Arrive into Adelaide airport where a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation for the evening. Accommodation at Hyatt Regency Hotel or similar. Day Two - Adelaide to Coober Pedy - This morning board a private light aircraft for a spectacular flight inland across the vast salt plains of South Australia to land at Coober Pedy. Explore this colourful frontier township and learn of its interesting origins and lifestyle, as most locals have built their homes underground to escape the scorching summer temperatures. Be guided by a miner through a working opal mine in Coober Pedy. This renowned opal producing town has the unique characteristic of underground living. Accommodation at Desert Cave Hotel. Day Three – Flight Seeing Lake Eyre - To be able to truly appreciate the unique landscape of this region, board small charter planes for spectacular aerial sightseeing of Coober Pedy and the majesty of Lake Eyre. Day Five - Flinders Ranges - The journey continues by dirt road from the wilderness of Arkaroola to the majesty of the Flinders Ranges. Dine at the famous Praire Hotel, Parachilna, the location for many famous movies including Gallipoli, The Lighthorseman and Rabbit Proof Fence. Accommodation at the Praire Hotel. Day Six - Wilpena Pound - This morning drive into remarkable Wilpena Pound in the heart of Flinders Ranges visiting Blinman, Stokes Hill Lookout and other rugged gorges. Day Seven - Vineyards of the Barossa Valley - The journey today takes you from the rugged ranges of the Flinders to the fine wines of the Barossa Valley, passing through some small townships enroute, each with its own unique history and country charm. Day Eight - Barossa Valley to Murray Bridge - Today is spent enjoying some of the private boutique wineries of the Barossa and listening to the passionate wine makers talk about the flavours and aromas that make their wines award winners. Day Nine - Cruising the River Murray - Cruise between magnificent sandstone and limestone cliffs, some rising 90 metres from the water, around Caurnamont and Fromm's Landing. Accommodation on board the PS Murray Princess. Day 10 - Cruising the River Murray - Go ashore this morning to capture the dawn light, a special time on the river. Enjoy a morning talk about the Riverlands bountiful food and wine trail. After lunch you reach the Pomberuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
