Coach Tours - Picton

As well as the walking tours we also hold regular tours by coach with a two course meal. Meals and haunted sites vary with each tour. FRIDAY 13TH TOUR - Your chance to challenge Black Friday. The evening begins with the main course at the Imperial Hotel in Menangle Street. Built in 1860 and first called The Terminus, it has been a hotel since then except for a period of ten years when it was a hospital for people dying of Consumption. In that ten year period over 400 people died in the building. The coach picks us up at 9pm and takes us to some haunted sites around town including the Redbank Range Tunnel and the Stonequarry Viaduct. During the tour we will stop at the Upper Picton General Cemetery for dessert and coffee. All tours subject to change without notice. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF CONDITIONS: The Redbank Range Tunnel has been temporarily closed by Council due to safety reasons. The only access to the site is via the ghost tours. Tours will access the site but only to the entrance of the tunnel. From here we get very good vision into the tunnel.

Kids Ghost Tour

School Holiday Fun - Scary Time For Kids During the April school holidays, kids will be the victims on historian Liz Vincent's ghost tours at Picton. By special request, on Monday 14th April and Tuesday 22nd April, Liz will conduct a ghost hunt for kids. On the tour, Liz will tell her young victims about Picton's scary residents and visit their haunted hideaways. Come along and grope past the graveyard, be terrified at the tunnel, creep past the creatures in the creek and slip alongside the souls in the cemetery. All participants should meet at the gazebo in the Davison Lane car park at 7.00pm. Everyone must bring a torch and wear walking shoes. A brolly in the back pocket is also advisable in case of wet weather or to ward off over zealous ghosts. The first part of the tour is a walk around Lower Picton then a drive up to the tunnel finishing with a walk around the Upper Picton Cemetery hearing scary and gory stories all the way. Participants will need their own vehicles to drive to the tunnel and the cemetery. Those interested in paranormal photography are welcome to bring their cameras but no videoing of the tour is permitted. All kids under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Those who survive the tour will be entitled to a certificate of survival. The book “Ghosts of Picton Past” 3rd edition will be available for purchase for $13.50. Numbers are limited so book early to ensure your place. Bookings are essential and tickets must be pre-paid.
